Cabin Fever
, 2018
45 x 35 in (h x w)
Cabin Fever hits hardest when winter lingers into April on the Canadian prairies and we have not seen colour in our landscape in many months . The best treatment I have found is an immersion in wild colour. Here I have snow-dyed old, frayed linen napkins then freely applied paint with stamps, stencils, sponges and brushes until there is enough colour to satisfy my cravings. It is free-motion stitched to add another layer of colour and texture.
