Conté on paper

I believe that portraits have the unique ability to bring forward a person’s individuality, subtle features and personality. I collaborated on ideas with my classmate, model, and good friend, Eshal, to create this larger-than-life portrayal. The subtle expression on her face is balanced by the drama of the high contrast values and ignited background as she stares the viewer down. Don’t mess with Eshal.
