I've picked my best friend as the subject of this portrait because she is smart, funny, talented and she inspires me. I chose the purple paper to represent her because she has a bright, fun personality, and she lights up a room. I chose a beige, suede-like textured paper for her clothing, which makes her face stand out. I used a black pencil crayon to draw in her hair and left the background plain.I wonder if the viewer can perceive her radiance the way I do?
