The True Me
Paper, pencil and pencil crayons

The title of my art is “The True Me”. The materials I used are paper and pencil, and to colour it I used pencil crayons. In the creative process, I made the T-Shirt black because it represents my race. I have the Canada maple leaf and the Ghana flag because I am Ghanian and Canadian. I made the eyes wider because Black people’s eyes are mostly wide. Also, the background I coloured the spikes in the same order as the Ghana flag. We learned the Principle of Proportion in this lesson. We also learned about our own identity by learning that perfect proportions are not realistic.
