RAZOR ON PHOTO-PAPER

IN MEMORY OF BACHI KITIASH
Born on May 20, 1958, in Tbilisi. I have no formal artistic training. At the age of 20, I suddenly began to draw, but soon abandoned the activity due to my involvement in jewelry making. In 1985, I accidentally discovered the unusual properties of illuminated photographic paper and resumed painting, this time uncovering colors with a razor under the black layer of the illuminated photographic paper. All the colors lie beneath a black layer of paper. By cutting through the layers of specially treated illuminated photographic paper with a razor and reaching the desired color, a painting is created. My works are present in galleries, purchased by clients, and are in private collections in Europe, Asia, America, and Australia. I am a member of the international association Vatikam (Paris, France) and a winner of awards and diplomas in international competitions.
