Dwight Eisenhower was a phenomenal military leader and it’s no wonder he went on to serve as a President. The idea to do this piece came to mind when I was watching the movie Patton for the 4th or 5th time. Technique-wise, I stuck to crosshatching in very small strokes. I then brushed over it with a tattoo needle to get a smoother appearance. A light wash of diluted ink added back in some shadow and a little color to dull the bright white spots. When you see this piece in person it looks very much like a photo. Many people have mistaken it for one in fact.
