More than 13 million Syrians are displaced across Syria and around the globe, accounting for over half of the country’s population. In the past year, prices of food have nearly doubled, rising 24% just in the month following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Due to the war’s resulting impact on the global food supply chain and price increases, the World Food Programme has been forced to reduce food rations by 13%. The food provided is now only half of what families need to survive.
