Mariupol, Ukraine , 2022

In the artist's own words: "Mariupol. One of the cities in Ukraine, which suffered greatly from the war in the country. The city suffered, and people, and animals ... There is no city! Many people, children and animals died from explosions in the city, at the hands of Russian invaders. They came to kill every living thing on our earth! This picture shows how much destruction the war brought. Nothing remains of the house where peaceful people lived. There was an abandoned cat and a ribbon with the colors of the Ukrainian flag ... Where the ribbon means that this is our land, there is still a struggle for it! And the cat, the remaining animal without a home and owners, is a sign that there are still living in such cities who need help, there is still hope for their salvation! The picture is made in black and white, for the contrast of what is happening and the accent of the colored tape, so that it is noticed and not passed by. Mediums: black charcoal and pastel."
