Terry resides in central Texas with his wife of 33 years and his Jack Russell Terrier, Joey.

He was severely wounded in Iraq in 2004 and retired with 22 years active-duty service in 2010 as a staff sergeant.

Currently, he spends his time pursuing new adventures, enjoying his grandchildren, and sketching his perception of the world around him.
