This picture of Wickaninnish Beach on the west coast of Vancouver Island was meant to capture the foam off the lead edge of waves coming onto the beach. To build foam in monochrome took all my patience...while still being able to get texture. Every time I visit the coast I go to Wickaninnish Beach to walk on the sand and feel the amazing energy of the place. In my younger years I used to work as a cook at the Old Wickaninnish Inn, the building of which is now a First Nations interpretive centre out on the rocks.
Archival quality, Medium Weight Canvas made from cotton duck. Acid free titanium gesso primed. 0.75” inch profile professionally made from kiln dried wood and beveled stretcher bars.
