This is a painting of a tree off the Wild Pacific Trail near Ucluelet BC, Canada. While walking on the trail you can see many trees twisted and bent and curled in all kinds of directions from the wind and rain. The smell of the forest, the quiet...the calmness. This painting involved 15 layers of various green and earthy tones of oil. Each fern was layered to create a messy forest floor.
