It’s not easy to paint from a wheelchair. It’s difficult to control the effect of paint on watercolor paper and the overall act of painting creates a lot of challenges. Being able to overcome these challenges gives me enjoyment and takes my mind off disabilities.
I’m more disabled than most because of my spinal cord injury at C4 and difficulty using hands and fingers. I’m happy to be able to achieve some success with watercolor as a medium. I have the goal of creating scenic paintings that others can enjoy. I value the ability to be creative.
