Rise Up

Inspiration

I am inspired by Maya Angelou's poem “And Still I Rise.”
I took her message of what slaves had to move through and move against. We all need to rise up against oppression, abuse, racism, domestic violence, human trafficking, sexism, and more. We are all human. We must recognize the inherent worth and dignity in all people.
We must treat the earth with respect and dignity, as well. If we don't hold the earth dear, there will be no place to go for food, shelter or community.
Ms. Angelou's inspiration causes me to use my voice to RISE UP! To SPEAK UP! And to HELP OUT!
