Sakinah Bte Jefri

To reflect self-love and gratefulness for my life, I placed a “mini-me” holding a heart at the center of my cupped hands. To me, the heart is like a golden treasure as it allows me to have empathy and spread love to others. There are two theatre masks that represent my beloved CCA, Drama Club, which has helped me to overcome my fears, feel confident, create close bonds with others and discover myself. My father is represented here as a panda bear because he looks like a panda to me. I appreciate all the sacrifices he has made and all he is willing to give up just to see a smile on my face. The sculpture of “The Thinker” symbolises my love for the arts, it has always been a source of therapy on days I feel blue. The things I treasure as seen in this artwork have impacted my life in many ways and that is why I wish to protect them.
