My dad's original photo of me was the inspiration for this quilt. Started when Dad entered hospice at age 91, and as his only child, I wanted to remind him that his love for me evidenced in his photo was reciprocated. Weekly viewings and updates on my progress delighted him and my colorful interpretation of the original olive, brown and grey photo lifted his spirits. I managed to finish it before he passed and am always comforted by this view of his love for me.
