My artwork, Sun and Snow portray the temporality of life and emotion. The temporality of life is communicated through the slow burning and withering of the watch, superimposed on time-lapse landscapes. The idea that time is the only permanent aspect of a temporary existence is presented through the subject matter of the watch burning and then re-appearing to show how time can appear disrupted and altered by moving slow and fast hence the slow burning and the time-lapse of the actual watch. The fact that the watch reappears untouched, signifies that time will never stop despite the disruption that it may undergo. The temporality of emotion is addressed through the continual shift between all elements of the artwork.
