Having had to fly to Malaysia to stay with my family during lockdown, I found myself in a constant state of anxiety about the change and uncertainty of the situation. Despite everything though, being back in my childhood home surrounded by décor as old as I am, brought about a comforting familiarity that has aided me in dealing with everything. The permanence of these antiques has not only allowed me to revisit my roots, but it also kept me grounded in knowing that regardless of everything, some things stay the way they are no matter what.

封城期间不得不飞去马来西亚与家人团聚的全程中，我发现自己由于这种变化和情况的不确定性，一直处于焦虑状态中。但是无论经历了怎样的困难，能够回到自己同年的家，被伴随自己长大的各种物件包围，给我带来一种安全熟悉的舒适感，帮助我面对身边的一切。这些旧物的永恒性不仅帮助我提醒自己的身份渊源，还让我有一种安稳的感觉，因为我知道无论发生何事，有些东西永远还是原来的样子。
