Diary Drawing Day 2 , 1997
30.5 x 22.9 cm (h x w)
Watercolour and pencil on paper

I was sitting in this little art room, absolutely bewildered as to what I was doing in this day centre. Slightly horrified. But then I did this drawing, I decided to do drawings while I was there for three weeks I planned in this lovely art room. And I didn't know anyone. So I just sat and painted and I really like this because it sums up what I felt at the time. I was determined to get myself sorted out. But I knew that the process would be really difficult. And I was a bit shocked that I got to number six, I hadn't really sorted it out on that one page. And it turned out to be 11 years, it took me to sort myself out. I'm glad I didn't know that then.
