Diary Drawing Day 526 , 2005
30.5 x 22.9 cm (h x w)
Watercolour and pencil on paper

Oh I love this one. Because it's a... I used to work a lot at the kitchen table at that point. And so it's strewn all over the table. I've got little coffee filter and my mug and chairs and I'm sitting there and I'm starting to feel these just tiny moments. At the top, it says very small, "better", just tiny glimpsing moments. This was several years in of hope and joy and, and just, yeah, life starting to creep back in. And that's expressed here with this wonderful little bird I put on my head (in the drawing) that I thought, oh, oh, this just lovely moment while I sat there, and once I'd done the drawing, I could always look back and remember that moment as a bit of a marker, because it was the beginning of my life changing - only the beginning. I had many battles ahead, but it happened.
