Motion 8.2 is based on a feature about the film L'Attentat from Yves Bolsset in 1972
Eduard Churkin is a Russian artist born in 1976 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. Eduard likes to transfer colors and unique memories into his works. A series of works represents still images of feature films in 16 x 22 mm and 16 x 25 mm format by famous directors. Each work as an art object conveys the unique state of the time when the film was shot. However, they differ from each other in the condition, atmosphere and time when the film was shot as well as in the style and technique of the performance. The name of the series "Film" is an industrial landscape or a landscape as such in which the movement of an object occurs in one direction. The title of each film represents the work as a complete image. It is a reminder that we are all on a journey, long or short, moving or flat, but it continues unabated. Every step taken today translates into a déjà vu that will be reflected in the future... Déjà Vu is the memory of the past, it is the essence of "work-movement". Everyone can feel and see in the images represented something that is their own.
