Disposed Treasures , 2022
acrylic paintvarious found objects and materials

Disposed Treasures is a work that brings discarded, antique items back to life. These antiques that are discarded and replaced by new meaningless objects, hold so much character, sentiment, and history behind them. They have lived a life of their own yet are treated as replicable and replaceable. By painting intricate antiques on pieces of discarded wood and metal, I intend to bring to light how our generation values antiques.
Disposed Treasures is influenced by Olga Antonova’s still life paintings and Dean Home’s Flemish still life’s as well as my passion for painting and giving intimate objects a life.
