The ancient Mayan ruins were built 2600 years ago. I came upon them recently while hiking through a jungle in Mexico. I was immediately fascinated by the stories within the stones and what had happened in, The Space Between their creation. Very close looking at these ancient facades and their archeological details inspired this piece of work.
