In the artist's own words: "My name is Robert Steiner and i'm from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I'm the member of Association OAZA (for support of people with intellectual disabilities from the area of ​​Sarajevo Canton). The sculpture depicts a form that resembles a human figure stripped down to the dogs. The figure has no right arm up to the shoulder. The figure's face is modeled strangely, as if it were a being from outside this planet. With the title of the work, the artist alludes to the extraterrestrial origin of the figure, but still positions it in the realistic context of contemporary life - in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Bistrik. The "Alien from Bistrik" has unusually large eye sockets and an elongated head shape. With this figure, the artist created a different human body that exists in his imagination, but also in the everyday life of the city of Sarajevo. According to his artistic expression and the thought behind it, every form of life deserves its place in the social community."
