Blue Boy , 1939
10 x 8 in (h x w)

Pageant of the Masters re-creation of “Blue Boy” by Thomas Gainsborough in 1939.

Hanging opposite one another at the Huntington Library in San Marino, "Pinkie" and "Blue Boy" have long been associated as a pair. However, these portraits were created by two different painters nearly a quarter century apart. "Pinkie" and "Blue Boy" are popular paintings to be re-created by the Pageant.
