The ongoing conflict in Syria has had a devastating impact on the livelihoods of people; particularly those who live in northern Syria, as they are facing significant economic challenges including high poverty, unemployment and a lack of basic services. Many have lost their homes, businesses and jobs due to the conflict. As a result, many people are struggling to make ends meet. 2022 statistics show that 14.6 million people needed humanitarian assistance; which is the highest ever recorded since 2011.
