Mattel made history in 2015 by revealing three new body types for the Barbie Fashionistas line, featuring a shorter “Petite” body, a taller and less curvaceous “Tall” body, and a fuller-figured “Curvy” body alongside Barbie’s familiar “Original” body sculpt. Since then, these four body types have been featured outside of the Fashionistas line on many different dolls across the Barbie brand and have been produced in a variety of skin tones with differing levels of articulation.
