“Luminosity” is a figurative acrylic painting that, for me, represents diversity, community, and enlightenment. This piece is a fervent wish for the times in which we live. In “Luminosity,” I’ve used a lot of layering, mark making, and a variety of paint application techniques including brushing, dragging, scraping, and negative space dabbing. As is customary in my creative “process,” I’m focused on expressing my feelings, and conveying what’s on my mind or in my heart. Much of my inspiration is from within . . . a stream of consciousness and intuitive process that is more attuned to expressing a mood or creating a sense of movement, balance, rhythm, repetition, tension, and cohesion.
