Insbesondere die Darstellung der beiden Personen im Vordergrund, die sich auf die Kirche hinbewegen, gibt dem Bild eine einzigartige Dynamik. Schlichtheit und Minimalismus dominieren das Gemälde.

The oil painting "St. Peter's Church" refers to a painting (watercolour) by Franz Alt from 1873 which is dedicated to the interior of the church. The view to the high altar is depicted in splendid colours. In simple contrast to this painting and this time, the oil painting by Herbert Lippert is contrasted here. St. Peter's Church is painted sketch-like from a perspective coming from the "Graben" in the colour petrol.
