Somewhere out there
“Nature is energy and struggle. It is what exists without any promise. If it can be thought of by man as an arena, a setting, it has to be thought of as one which lends itself as much to evil as to good. Its energy is fearsomely indifferent.”
― John Berger, Why Look at Animals?
JOURNAL NOTES
I asked many pastoralists, “what do you like in photo of the country?” with the often line from around the dinner table:
“I like a tree in there.”
…While the nature of clouds is a curious thing, I have to agree, trees are wonderful.
Much of the north is arid deserts – the Great Sandy, Tanami, Simpson, Gibson, Little Sandy lacking pasture, yet camels, donkeys, pigs and other feral life increasingly populates.
