THE KIMBERLEY, Western Australia
The region was named 'The Kimberley District' for the Earl of Kimberley, secretary for the colonies, in 1880. He also gave his name to a region in South Africa which, like the Australian Kimberley, is famous for producing diamonds.
Amazing moments discovering fresh edible dates in Alice Springs / Mparntwe (pronounced m’barn-twa) in Arrente, and Australian sandalwood a native tree that’s is endangered.
