"When your crush is nearby, and you start dropping 'subtle hints'"
I think I was going for "classical art memes" with this one.
Considering the humidity in Florence is not the greatest for painting on canvas, I have been enjoying testing things out using Sketchable and Sketchbook, two different drawing apps that pretty much allow me to "paint" or "draw" anywhere without lugging my studio along. I'm only starting with ProCreate. It feels like a steep learning curve for my 41-year-old brain. Aside from digital, I've also been keeping works on watercolor paper, using mixed media (acrylic, gouache, watercolor, gold leaf, etc.), and then keeping it in protected sheets in a case to minimize warping.
In this piece, "Suggerimenti Sottili" (Subtle Hints), I'm quite possibly channeling a different Dante (Dante Gabriel Rossetti), or perhaps da Vinci, but I thought I'd have a little fun with it. Considering how fine art is getting Florida's undies in a bunch, why not?
I'm already restricted on Instagram and Facebook from promoting my work or creating ads, so I'm fresh outta f*cks to give.
