The (remaining) tradition of the “red apples”, a ceremony publicizing the bride’s deflowering after the wedding night, polarizes by itself a large range of passions – between anger and weariness (and not only). Besides the basic meaning of the symbol, it reflects the values of marriage and behind these values, the structure of a whole patriarchal society.
