Somethings that can’t be described as pleasurable are medical tests. During the 10 days I was under observation, there were so many tests. Necessary because my symptoms had no cause.

I was concerned that tests weren’t providing helpful information. Were they accurate. If yes, why no progress? Defensive medicine a nurse called it. Some doctors just wanted to get me out of the bed. Others, seemed to think I just need a Valium and a good lie down.

Living in a hospital, with strangers because there were no private rooms in a small country town hospital was not easy. Staying in one place, a small 4 x 4 ward full of lights, noise, without even being able to go outside with a coffee. Especially when you live on 40 acres.
