I chose this artwork because I want people to understand that they should embrace their culture for others to see. You have to help your culture shine. You should show others how important it is. My artwork portrays Halina Aden. She is a hijbab model. She has had to go through challenges due to her background to get where she is today. I really love that she has touched a lot of people, including myself. She allows young girls to embrace themselves and the beauty in their culture. I really appreciate how my school allows me to express my identity without fear of judgement.
