The reason why I chose to do an eye with different skin tones and eye colors is because I wanted to show diversity that there is in the Durham District School Board. This also includes many different types of communities around the world too. I wanted to show that different communities can have different types of people that have different colored skin, eyes, hair features and other things that vary person to person. There are people that are sometimes treated differently because of how they look or the stereotypes that people have put on them. The eye is supposed to represent how we can come together and embrace our differences and strategies to see eye to eye.
