Artist Statement - A Blinding Lie
About the Artwork:
This art piece is representative of how mental health issues are often masked as there is a constant blindfold over our eyes when it comes to mental health. To create this artwork I used a graphite pencil, as the black and white look contributes to the rawness of the image.
About the Artist:
I am a Peel student, passionate about politics, linguistics, and the arts. Additionally, I enjoy public-speaking as I believe in sharing my ideas and collaborating with others in team efforts. Art has always been an interest of mine, as it is a creative form of expression that can be used to convey my thoughts and opinions on various topics.
