Bard Eagle and the Liberty Bell are two of America's national iconic images. The Liberty Bell cracked right from its creation and America’s founding fathers left it cracked as if they meant it to show that America’s Liberty is not perfect as there was no liberty for people of colour then in America because of the enslavement of African-Americans was still lawful in some parts of America then. Since the abolition of slavery and the enforcement of integration, there is no equity for all Americans. The killing of George Floyd and other killings of black people made me think figuratively that America’s Liberty is not only cracked but it is a Broken Liberty which is the title of this painting - The Broken Liberty and Broken Promises.
