Unless we know each other well, or you've paid attention through my books and posts, you might know me as a bridge-burning enthusiast. I don't end connections, friendships, or relationships lightly. It's not just about passing a vibe check or setting healthy boundaries. It's also about making sure that I'm surrounding myself with people who are honest and willing to travel this journey of life together.

In general, I see my connections with others as invisible, cosmic rope. One can either take care of that connection as I will, or they can hang themselves out to dry with it. I believe, in time, everything comes out in the wash. Those same people who hate you are the ones watching you the most from afar, studying everything about you as a reflection of what they lack - but let them. You have better things to do with your time and energy.

It can be difficult at first. But at the end of the day, you have to protect yourself from people who are not interested in mutual growth or respect. You must cut ties with those who diminish your value and take away your light. The only way to do this is by shutting down your interpersonal embassy, withdrawing personnel, and going home (within).

Will such people try to come back into your life? Time will tell, but anyone who has worked hard to destroy you financially, interpersonally, or professionally can come back and say they've shed the dead skin and have changed. But remember, a snake sheds its skin to become an even bigger snake.
