Born in the Prairies but having lived most of my life on the west coast the chance of seeing a single tree in a wide open landscape is pretty rare here. Thus, I find it quite special.

My husband used to say “We come into this world alone and we go out of this world alone.” That was not said in a sad way but more the idea that it is up to each one of us to be strong, grow and hold firm to our position throughout life. Like this tree in the field maintaining its stance and thriving the best it can.
