Born in Manitoba but raised on the west coast from age six there were many trips made between Victoria and my birth province. Very much a homebody I was always excited by the first sight of the Rockies on our return. It meant we were on the home stretch in our journey back. In this piece rather than have the Rockies dominate I enjoyed the subtle light cast on them by a soft sky allowing my pleasure in use of texture to fill the foreground.
