There lies accessibility issues within the orchestra. While there are ongoing efforts for gender diversity, globally, only 36% of orchestra conductors are women. Additionally, societal beliefs, cultural contexts, and perceptions around classical music are attached to affluence and prestige.

Can we slowly move away from historical and cultural norms where the orchestra and classical music are made more available to all? How do we bridge the gap between gender inequality? The disparity between the working class and the wealthy?

In this collection, we showcase the juxtaposition between women and men through jewelry and hardware items; and of rich and poor through the same, and through the sounds of beautiful opulence and the disruptive mundane. All with the intention of creating something unexpected, provocative, and maybe even unsettling.
