Lena Kardash
My name is Lena Kardash, I am a Meta modernist Artist based in Madrid, Spain and as an enthusiastic candidate, I aim to establish collaborations with international art galleries, companies, art residencies, festivals, critical texts, and participate in the collective exhibition.
I work with the concept of memory, its creation, preservation and revisiting, taking as a basis the metaphor of the knot, a symbol of the threads of space-time, intertwined into knots-events that reflect the status quo of our time. The latter for me is a symbol of Gaia, our planet as a self-regulating and self-renewing system in which we are all connected together. And only if its energy flows freely and continuously do our world have a future.
The classical techniques of oil painting, developed by the old masters, elaboration of details, thin layers of paint and glaze help me show small knots of private stories of people, plants, a microcosm that reflects the big world.
Thus, through little things we comprehend the secrets of the universe and world order.
