MORNING SCALES - APRIL23
For me, these works represent a new approach to movement, based on a restraint and restart, movement in jerks. Like rhythms and musical notes following one another, but eventually creating harmony and coherence. Music affects us. It arouses emotions and feelings. In the same way, painting allows us to escape from our daily lives. I've also taken up one of my favorite themes, that of the, which in this case is a slit scratched into the support itself, enabling us to go beyond appearances.

Ces œuvres représentent pour moi une nouvelle approche du mouvement, basée sur la retenue et la reprise, le mouvement par saccades. À la manière des rythmes et des notes musicales qui se succèdent, mais qui finissent par former harmonie et cohérence. La musique nous affecte et fait naître en nous émotions et sentiments. De la même manière, la peinture nous permet d'échapper à notre quotidien. J'ai aussi repris un de mes thèmes favoris, celui de la schize, qui est ici une fente grattée dans le support même et qui permet de franchir les apparences.
