Gumtree Music is an Australian record company and label, started in 1999 based in Melbourne. Its stated aim is to find new talent for a world market while remaining independent in the process. They recently signed stereo-head, a newly established Australian band that creates experimental music along the genres of progressive and alternative rock. They are based in Melbourne and working on their debut album. The band members are in their 20s to 30s and value the artistic liberties in music. The band aim to be experimental and creative to produce music that is thought provoking. The album cover for Stereo Head is to be presented on physical copies and digital covers (Spotify, iTunes etc).
The design is to be evocative and unique enough to gain the attention of the target audience and exude a sense of artistic creativity. The client also requires an architectural design for their upcoming musical gallery that allows for creativity which reflects the music.
