A pretty flower that has to grow amidst thorns; her beauty may make her prey to sex predators.
Unfair treatment of the female gender often starts from infancy in some cultures around the world. Starting from female genital mutilation to enforced marriage in some cultures in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia; in countries like Afghanistan that treat women less equal to men at every level.
The unfairness continues to unequal pay and sexual harassment at workplaces and in the communities even in the “civilized” Western world. These are the thoughts that influence this painting- “Baby GIRL and the Thorns.”
