1st Place 2023 Assyrian International Art Competition
In “Eternal Hope” I aimed to convey a profound sense of optimism and belief in the face of challenges. At the center of the painting, you’ll see an innocent baby cradled in the hand of God, symbolizing divine protection and guidance. The baby’s pure and hopeful expression embodies the idea of a brighter future. I also incorporated significant Assyrian symbols throughout the artwork. These symbols represent the strong cultural identity of the Assyrian people and their hope for a better future as an independent nation. The warm and comforting colors surrounding the central figures create a feeling of reassurance and hope. As an artist, I wanted to express the unwavering faith in the Assyrian nation’s potential to rise and fulfill its dreams, all under the watchful eye of a higher power, symbolized by the prominent Assyrian word meaning “God” written in Cuneiform and Aramaic written in gold.
