Caron Tabb

Caron Tabb was born in apartheid South Africa, raised in Israel, and has lived in the US for the last twenty years.

Following a robust nonprofit career, she became a dedicated conceptual, mixed-media artist and curator inspired by the humanist, feminist, and egalitarian values central to her Jewish faith and culture.

Seeking out materials rife with metaphor such as Jewish ritualistic objects and repurposed garments, Tabb transform them with paint, cement, fire, and text with the goal of increasing empathy, catalyzing difficult conversations, and holding space for viewers to reflect on their own connection to social justice issues.
