In this piece I have combined images of rocks from the desert of the Southwest, some darkened by the soot of fires from indigenous people from long ago, to construct my composition. Through the use of the computer, I have sliced and diced these images into geometric shapes and then pieced them together to form my own creation, one that allows the viewer a new way to connect with nature’s complexity.
