"11/4/63 -Des Moines, IA- The Congress of Racial Equality (Core) set up picket lines around city hall 11/4 protesting the city council's rejection of "open occupancy" housing ordinances. Spokesmen said the demonstrations would be repeated from time to time until the council acts favorably on an anti-discrimination in housing ordinance.
