Upper Valley Mall Redevelopment , 2023

Concept: The core of my design is based off of the necessity to bridge the gap between people with differences by uniting them with what makes everyone the same. In the design I have created aspects mimicking the four corners of the world via "hubs" each designated to fulfill different purposes of immigrants, migrants, and refugees.

I redeveloped the abandoned mall in Springfield, Ohio, due to its ideal location to Columbus, which modern trends show many migrants are beginning to move to.

The four "hubs" consist of an innovation center, providing courses and advice for jobs and housing; resource center, providing human necessities; cafe and market; to promote economic trade as well as leisure for people arriving; and an indoor-outdoor courtyard to foster community activity.
